The booking infrastructure behind the trip
Rahlio builds the system that turns a free-text travel request into a bookable hotel stay, with the full price and clear cancellation terms — and sells the booking to the traveller, through a booking supplier that takes the payment on its own secure page.
What we do
Rahlio is a software platform for planning and booking travel. The system takes a request in plain language, resolves it into discrete parameters, queries travel suppliers in real time, and assembles stay options checked against a stated budget — hotels, and flights or hotel + flight where they are on sale; activities and transfers follow as each gets a connected supplier.
Two front ends run on the same engine. On the consumer site and in the app, travellers search and book for themselves: Rahlio sells each booking, made through its booking supplier, which takes the payment on its own secure page. In the portal, travel agencies and Rahlio’s own agents work on the same engine — and an agency that sells to its own customers does so under its own terms.
The AI in the system understands requests and writes explanations. It is not a source of price, availability or cancellation terms — those come from the supplier alone, are stored with their source and the time they were checked, and are shown to the user with their confidence level attached.
Who does what in a booking
The chain of responsibility is not implied — it is encoded in the system and recorded on every order.

The hotel or airline
- What it does
- Provides the stay or the flight.

- The service itself, under its own conditions.
The result: money moves from the traveller to the booking supplier, on the supplier’s own payment page, and refunds come back to the card the same way. Rahlio is paid a commission by the supplier and adds no fee of its own. A hotel + flight booking is two separate reservations and two payments.
What the system enforces
Facts only, with a source
Every price, opening hour and entry requirement carries a source and the date it was checked. Anything without one is shown as an estimate or as unknown — never as a fact.
No client funds held
The traveller pays the booking supplier on the supplier’s own secure page, and refunds go back to the card the same way. Rahlio never receives, holds or forwards the traveller’s money.
Bookings that do not strand a customer
The booking flow is built so that one component failing does not leave a customer with half a holiday: idempotent operations, automatic compensating cancellation, and a full record of every attempt against the supplier.
Commitments preserved as made
The booking terms, the cancellation terms shown and any cancellation choice the traveller made are frozen on every order. A later policy change cannot rewrite a booking that has already been made.
